worst Tracks cover ever

I usually don't write in to Tracks letters or such, so i waited for this months mag for someone else to write in and tell u that the Matt Wilkinson cover was: THE WORST COVER i can recall being on a Tracks mag. I could'nt believe no one wrote in so i thought it best i mention it, not that the latest cover is much better

What was it about Wilko's cover that you hated Kerry? Our reasoning behind the cover was simply that Tracks is stoked there is a character on tour again. Tracks has historically celebrated these types of surfing characters but it's been a long time since we've had one. Obviously it's not something we will be doing all the time but it's nice when warranted to have something/someone on the cover. All feedback is good feedback though and some of you hated it and some loved it.

Stoked you dig the new cover though. It's on there because it made all of us want to go surfing.

I see that you were mixing it up and all, but if that mag was'nt in my mailbox and i had to go to a newsagent on a quick scan of the covers i would'nt have picked up a mag with that on it for a closer inspection, and to think of all the awesome surfing he did on the goldy you could of found a hell cover to froth on that would have made people rip it off the news stand. Cause that cover did'nt make me want to go surfing

So for like once in a million tracks doesn't have a cover with a wave on it, big deal. If your worried about people not buying it from their news agent then it's not your problem. Tracks may have sold a few less magazines but they probably took that into account, but they certainly wouldn't have lost any religious buyers or subscribers over one measly cover

Point taken Kerry, hopefully this months mellow yellow makes you want to go surfing. Either way. Wilko is a legend. There is so much seriousness in surfing and it's about time we had someone who wasn't afraid to be themselves and bring some fun back into the ranks.
