Jiwa Alam

CAPTAIN

French/Australian Captain Philippe Petiniaud first came to Bali in 1972 and spent most of this time sailing the waters east of Bali. In 1975 he built Sri Noa Noa and sailed it to Australia, all under sail, no engine! He has an intimate knowledge of the region, not only the waters and waves, but also the culture and will ensure you have a unique adventure surfing the incredible breaks on Rote, Savu, Raijua, Sumba and Sumbawa.

THE BOAT

Jiwa Alam was built by Philippe in Sulawesi in 2015. She is the third boat built by Philippe, the first being Sri Noa Noa, built in 1975, on which some of the very early surf charters were conducted, including the trip that named Millers Right in Sumba. Over the years Sri Noa Noa has covered just about every nook and cranny in the eastern Indonesian archipelago and this knowledge has transferred onto Jiwa Alam. She’s a really comfortable boat powered by twin engines and complete with all safety and recreational equipment. The food is excellent and amenities include spacious fan cooled cabins, tender x 4m with 40 hp outboard, fishing & snorkelling equipment, flat screen TV & sound system.

FUN FACT

You’ll get to surf some breaks you never knew existed on this epic charter that passes through the best game fishing waters in Indonesia.
