When 1993 world champion, Derek Ho, passed away just over a year ago surfing lost one of its greatest. A paddle out was held in Derek’s honour a couple of days to commemorate his life and contribution to surfing. Shortly after Tim Bonython dug up this interview with Derek from 2006. It’s not often you get the opportunity to see a pro surfer lay it all out there, but in this surprisingly candid interview, Derek tells it straight on everything from brotherly love to his fiercest rivals.
