Island Surfboards Claim VIC Qualifying Round
Island Surfboards have claimed the VIC qualifying round of the FCS Manufacturers Cup held last weekend in challenging 1 meter waves at Jan Juc.
The convincing win over Cory Surfboards has cemented their position in the national final which will be held at Avalon Beach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches early February.
Island Surfboards will now face the country’s best surfboard manufacturers from WA, SA, NSW and QLD. For regular updates stay tuned at surffcs.com
The FCS Manufacturers Cup gives Aussie board builders the opportunity to win over $3000 in cash and prizes, claim bragging rights, and ultimately be crowned the champions of the surfboard industry.

The second round of the FCS Manufacturers Cup was held over the weekend in messy 1.5m waves at Gas Bay Sewer Bowls, WA.
Team McCauley outclassed Rusty Surfboards and Nathan Rose Surfboards to take home the title. The victory has secured the boys a spot in the National Final which is due to be held early February at Avalon Beach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
The next state qualifying event in the series will be held in Queensland at Duranbah this Saturday. Teams set to compete in the event include Venom, Glass Lab, Super Brand, Base and JS. More teams will be confirmed in the coming days.
The FCS Manufacturers Cup is a unique tag team competition for the countries finest surfboard builders. Teams competing in the event have an opportunity to win over $3000 in cash and prizes, claim bragging rights, and be crowned the champions of the surfboard industry.
