Shaper’s comments
The Gherkin is a tweaked out version that originated from our Crumpet model. We have carved out some of the tail to increase hold through turns. The extra width will allow you to plane through flat sections with ease and still generate enough drive and speed to take to the air. This design combined with our Carbon Wrap technology will have you amped to surf, even on the smallest of days.
Asher’s Comments
“I noticed it didn’t have a stringer and DMS is running this Caron Wrap Technology and it seemed to have a different flex. It’s incredibly light and I was really surprised how easy it was, it didn’t feel like I had to adjust in any way.”
“The DMS Gherkin has this spring to it which I really liked and you didn’t have to work hard between turns. Something that really surprised be about this board was how wide the tail was. Generally when you have a really wide tail it can limit your turning capacity but it seemed to hold an edge really well.”
“I think pointbreak waves is where this board really excels because it has that flow and liveliness and you don’t really have to work to much in between your turns.
I don’t want to give it back [laughs].”
