Funboard Gravelle Bat Tail

Shaper’s comments

This board is a 5’6” Single Flyer, Step Deck, Diamond Bat-Tail semi Fish. The Step-deck gives it extra volume without compromising on performance, the lower rails allow it to step up to bigger waves should that occasion arise, the tinted glassing is proving to be the strongest weight to strength option around, the Grav-con bottom is universally judged as one of the most functional combo’s going, combined with the twinny Tri Quad option it makes this an extremely versatile little number. Should perform well from junk to quality in small to medium surf for mid-range to experienced surfers.

Asher’s Comments

“I noticed it was a little heavier compared to some of the other boards but that’s just screaming durability to me. What I find about a heavier board is that if the waves get a bit bigger it’s nice to have that weight so you kind of stick to the wave a bit more.”

“The quality of the Gravelle is really good. It’s had a lot of attention to detail gone in to it and the ¬ finish is really nice. It surfed really well. That extra weight helped it transition through turns with a nice bit of flow.”

“If you just want to cruise and catch heaps of waves and plane along you can still turn as it is quite manoeuvrable. It’s got a lot of positive attributes, I had a hoot. I think in a bit of size this board would really come into its own.”
