At this time of year attention drifts towards Hawaii’s North Shore where the swells pound the volcanic shores and the pros duke it out on a daily basis. However, it’s also prime time for Phonpei, the island, which plays host to Palika Pass, aka P- Pass. Depending on the day, the translucent, right reef can bend lumps into muscular, horseshoe barrels or playful walls. Turn the volume up on the swell and P-pass becomes the kind of challenging, world-class wave that brings the best pros screaming in from all corners of the globe.

Treat your eyes to a little P-pass pleasure, courtesy of photographer, Simon Williams, who posts up there every season.
