For a small island, Pohnpei plays host to an abundance of natural wonders and curious historical sites – reefs and atolls, dozens of glorious waterfalls, dive zones, the archeological site of Nan Madol and various military relics from the Second World War. These are all a source of much intrigue when the waves are sparse, but once the swell kicks in there is only one place to be – out at P-pass hunting hollow treasures. Pohnpei like anywhere else gets windy, rainy, flat and stormy, but when all the elements come together it’s one of the best waves in the world.
