Jordy Lawler, Sipping In The Sunshine, Sydney

When it shimmers and shines.

Ah yes Spring time in the city. The relentless winter swells wind back to a trickle and the subtle northerlies creep in. But there’s still plenty of good days to be had, if you know where to look. Northern Beaches dynamo Jordy Lawler and photographer Matt Dunbar when looking for rainbows and scored this pot of gold.

“We thought we blew it when we rocked up this morning to yet another lacklustre Sydney hoax swell,” recalls Matt. But sometimes you just have to keep looking. “A cheeky drive around the corner and a motivational speech to Jordy and he was out in the line up,” he says. Apparently Jordy isn’t too fond of this spot, however he he still knows how to get the job done.
