Aussie ex-PM Tony Abbott Burns Girl At Noosa

Aussie ex-PM makes headlines for all the wrong reasons.

It was a fairly well-known fact that former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott was always handy on a mal.

But just as he was throughout his political career, Abbott’s complete refusal to ever look to the left has once again ended in him making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Abbott took to Noosa’s points over the weekend for a spot of logging, as did 17-year-old Ivy Thomas.

Inexplicably, Ms Thomas found herself assessing Abbott’s “style” after the man who once called for Australia to “Stop the boats,” failed to “notice” the petite young surfer already up and riding on the inside.

“I was paddling for this wave, and I kind of stood up and he stood up as well,” Thomas told ABC Radio.

“In the photo, it looks like I am so not into it and I was so negative about it, but I wasn’t, I just didn’t know how to react.”

Fortunately, Abbott soon realised the error of his way and Ms Thomas found it in herself to forgive but not before offering a quick assessment of his style.

“I was expecting worse, but he could stand up and go across the wave,” Ms Thomas said.

“He smiled at me and realised that he’d dropped in, but I didn’t really mind. I’m not going to hold it against him, I’d had plenty of waves.”
