Breaking: Another Ballina Shark Attack

A 17-year-old surfer has been attacked by a Shark at Lighthouse Beach

News outlets have just broken the news of yet another Shark Attack in Ballina.

Reports suggest a 17-year-old male was surfing at Lighthouse Beach aka North Wall in Ballina when he was attacked at 9 am.

Paramedics were called and the young surfer was treated for severe bites to the right side of his body, mainly his torso and legs.

All Ballina beaches have been closed until further notice and lifeguards are warning people to stay out of the water.

The attack comes on the back of a recent decision by the NSW Government to abandon a shark barrier trial at Lighthouse Beach after the installation was deemed too risky due to large swell.

Tracks sends its best wishes to the young surfer and his family.

More updates to come.
