The first cyclone swell of the year rolled into southeast Queensland yesterday, and took no-one by surprise. The hype surrounding it was at fever-pitch as surfers waited with baited breath for Ola to send her lines marching in. Unfortunately, while there were some amazing waves ridden, it seemed the carpark whispers of impending cyclone glory had a little more puff than old Ola herself. One positive that came from the swell was to showcase the amazing state of the bank at Snapper in the lead up to the first WSL event of the year.
