Friday Heckle: Dean Morrison

"A dingo stole my wavey".

Dean Morrison copped plenty of cyber heat after dishing out a heavy burn at Kirra this week. The phenomenal run of swell courtesy of Cyclone Marcia sent surfers scrambling to the fabled Gold Coast points seeking the ride of their lives. For Dingo it was a smorgasbord of perfect cylinders that resembled the glory days of his youth. As the swell peaked Dingo took to social media, Instragram specifically, to vent his frustration at the pseudo locals, blows in and anyone that challenged him and his peers for waves. Despite the many write offs from punters online, Dingo remained unfazed offering a questionable solution to the crowds for Tracks. “Look I tell you what, if everyone wants to come here and go the lefts it’s all sweet. Maybe that’s the solution (laughs again). If you come up here, all the lefts are yours, you can have ’em, problem solved.” While many vehemently disagree illustrator Johannes Leak provided us with a bit of entertainment on the current situation north of the border.
