Is This Better Than The Surf Ranch?

A new wave pool unveiled in Waco, Texas, and Seth Moniz just performed the first ever flip in a tub there.

Boy, these chlorinated lineups are evolving quickly! While we're still all trying to digest the Founders Cup and debate its pros, cons and implications for the sport, American Wave Machines drops this bomb on us!

The pool, while not as flawless as Kelly’s fantasy runners, has much more of a ‘real ocean’ vibe. It’s also capable of producing three wave sets and has multiple settings including, wedge, left point, right point, perfect peak and air section, the last of which young Hawaiian Seth Moniz just landed the first flip in a pool on. It also has to be said the American Wave Machines set up seems to allow much more altitude in the air compared to the Surf Ranch.

Digest the two clips of Seth and Jamie O’Brien testing the pool below and let us know where you’d be heading. Surf Ranch or American Wave Machines?
