We won’t sit and here and tell you how good it’s been this season in Indo. You already know. The stream of images that have been lighting up our social media feeds has been stirring us to pack it all in and quit our day jobs. One spot in particular that continues to come up on the radar is one notorious slab in the Mentawai Islands. Her name is Greenbush and boy doesn’t she look fun here as France’s Miky Picon guides his lime splice sled under the curtain. Photographer and all round legend, Peter ‘Bosko’ Boskovic was recently in the Ments shooting Roxy royalty and pulled up at this finger of reef and witnessed an epic session go down. “We rocked up in a tinny fuelled with bintangs for the past hour or so in search of the BUSH,” recalls Bosko. It had some testing waves and one guy was ruling out there on a fluro lime green boar. He was picking off the heaviest ones that could possibly come through. I thought, who the fuck is that? Then a voice squeaks it’s Miky Picon! We sat and watched for half an hour as he ruled out there. On our way out we were yelling Micky! numerous times in homage and out of respect. Apparently half hour after we left a lidder took a bad wipeout and sliced himself from ear to ear on the reef. Poor guy I hope he is ok after sitting around for two days with only a bandage on his open wound. So heavy.”
