Monty Webber’s ‘Diagnose This’ Sydney Book Launch

23 short stories of murder, mayhem, mean-spiritedness and madness.

Tonight Monty Webber is celebrating his 55th birthday party and ‘Diagnose This’ book launch with a free movie night at Bert and Roy’s Bar and Grill at 115 Bondi Road, Bondi between 5 and 10pm. All are welcome.

Monty will be screening his award winning films ‘Journey on’ and ‘Liquid Time’ as well as the ‘Cult classic’ Five North Swells. There will also be a screening of rare Super 8 footage of Burleigh Heads and the 1977 Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach event in which Simon Anderson won. See a sample here.

Monty will be selling signed copies of his book for $20 each on the night of which Gonad Man’s Mark Sutherland wrote:

“Great stuff – really honest and engaging stories with no punches pulled: hilarious, offensive and pretty courageous, all in all. Highlighting Monty’s own moral shortcomings without sinking into full-on soul-searching self-pity is not an easy trick to pull off, but he makes it look easy. Monty comes across as thoroughly human: morally compromised, as we all are, yet with the occasional shred of decency shining through, masquerading as self-interest. I loved it.”

If you can’t make it to the event you can buy a copy of ‘Diagnose This’ by emailing Monty at [email protected] or Facebook message him your mailing address, he will exchange bank details and for $25AUD mail you a signed copy.
