Summer road trip in New Zealand, the land of the long white cloud.
New Zealand is mean, MEAN AZ. Every new bend in the road presents some sort of geographical marvel or quaint town. The coastlines are rugged; and with a mere 1-hour between the east and west coasts, there’s endless exploring for surfers and travelers alike. A kiwi summer is the time to head down to your ‘batch’ (holiday home) by the beach and forget about life for a while, watch the ever so slow sunset disappear and marvel at mountains covered in ferns. Meeting the sea is either black or white sand, (depending on which coast you’re on.) The people seem strongly connected to the land, smiles a plenty with welcoming vibes, it’s an urgent “must-see-before-you-cark–it” type of destination.
