As a surfer you know you’re making a name for yourself when non endemic brands come a knocking on your door. Tracks’ happy to report that Ryan ‘Hippo’ Hipwood is one such surfer. The electrifying Gold Coast surfer has just scored a sponsorship deal from car manufacturer Isuzu UTE to assist him in chasing the biggest and maddest waves around the world. Having had the pleasure of getting behind the wheel of the D-Max in urban environments in Sydney and Newcastle, as well as extreme off road landscapes like out-back Western Australia, Tracks knows the runner-up in this year’s Billabong and Oakley Big Wave competitions is going to dig this vehicle. Hippo’s new Isuzu D-MAX is perfect for hauling his jetski around and will further assist him on any wave-finding missions he embarks on across the country.
