Love it or hate it the Surf Ranch is here to stay. The main arguments from those in opposition have mainly revolved around the fact that the tubes aren’t really tubes, and the lack of full weighted turns due to the pace of the wave. Well, Griffin Colapinto has just smashed those arguments in just one wave during warmups for the Founders Cup.
He begins by laying into some vicious belts before stuffing himself into a tube deeper than anything previously seen in the pool.
We’re not sure if this is the result of some tinkering with the bottom contour or not, but one thing is for sure, that tube argument now seems dead in the water.
