The Volcom Pipe Pro is an annual highlight for surf fans. Free of the sometimes vanilla shackles of a WSL broadcast, the VPP is a much needed dose of real surfing without the pandering to an audience of non-surfers and kooks.
Traditionally the event has enjoyed sublime pipe conditions, but this year it has been disappointing to see the event struggle to find classic Pipe within its window.
Things have changed for the better for finals day however. The competitors are finding some caves and the conditions are pleasant. Jack Robinson has found the best of it, scoring a 10 and a 9.57 for by far the best heat tally of the event. Can he walk away with the win?
