The Region

From October to April, PNG's reefs, points and even the odd beach break turn on with the north swells. Escape your local surf anxiety and experience the wonders of PNG. This region is still a relatively new frontier with new breaks being discovered every season. Tupira Surf Club manager, Nicki Wynnychuk is a mad keen explorer and can sniff out a wave in any nook and cranny. Tupira Point, located on our doorstep, has been nicknamed ‘Little Nias’.

The Resort

Tupira Surf Club is located in pristine Ulingan Bay in the Madang province of PNG. Friendly locals will shower you with fantastic hospitality. You have access to five uncrowded breaks, and Tupira Point is one of the most consistent swell magnets in PNG. Surf straight out front. Great culture. Awesome food. The SAPNG management plan ensures uncrowded surfing with surfer numbers capped at 15 in this region. This is the ideal back to basic surf camp with waves right on your doorstep.
