Originally from Noosa, Woody Gooch has earned a rep’ as a creatively nuanced photographer who dignifies the act of surfing and thus gives it further credence as an art form. Woody suggests he hopes his work can remind people to cherish the moments they have.
“Hopefully, my photography will stop people and make them think about how each moment in their lives can be special – that is what I strive to do with my photography. No two moments are ever the same for me.”
Whether capturing high performance water shots or candid lifestyle moments, Woody is always looking for original ways to approach his subjects.
“From a young age I have always had an open mind and approach to the way I view the ocean and various bodies of work I'm drawn to.”
Woody’s works will be on display as part of the six week Fiesta of the Arts exhibition. If you’re in Sydney tonight it’s well worth dropping in to check it out.
