RIDE THIS BOARD IF…

You want a high-performance board with a desire to create drive and speed.

UNDER THE HOOD…

A single concave under the front foot blending into double concave with a slight vee behind the back fin combined with high rockers, the NShape Pro is designed for quick rail to rail transition and maximum control. The front outline has a fuller nose for superior paddling power and better hold while generating speed. A slight V through a narrow nose optimises entry into the wave. Medium rails for smoothness and fluidity. The pulled in rear outline keeps the board fast, increasing control and allowing deep carves at high speed.

“It was easy to ride from the get-go and was a top tier performance board but moreover, an environmentally sustainable alternative.”

LIAM’S CONCLUSION…

Without a doubt the most forward-thinking board on the test. NOTOX’s use of flax-fibre in conjunction with bio-epoxy resin makes 75 percent of the raw materials recyclable. Compared with the zero per cent recyclability of a typical surfboard this is an impressive feat. Furthermore, the company relies purely on non-volatile cleaners (as opposed to products like acetone) in the production of their surfboards. It’s these environmentally friendly practices that have earned them a ‘Gold Level ECOBOARD’ certification. Its performance was just as impressive. Despite being made from EPS materials the board rode a lot like a PU. In truth, I thought the board was a PU when I rode it. It wasn’t until later that I realised I had been mistaken. It’s drive and hold was phenomenal, and the board offered a reassuring feeling underfoot. It was easy to ride from the get-go and was a top tier performance board but moreover, an environmentally sustainable alternative to the non-renewable surfboard design.
