Surf Skis Are Back!

Ireland the unlikely scene of Goat Boat hotbed!

Rediscovering what you thought was a lost art is always a beautiful thing. And thus it was during a lazy trawl of Vimeo this AM that I stumbled upon something truly wonderful. A gift I must share.

The humble surf-ski lives!!

Not only that, they flourish! Airs, reverses, three-sixties! The progression is astounding. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few of these guys take a heat or two on the QS, perhaps even the tour itself.

And just where is this sit-down renaissance taking place? Ireland! This clip was filmed during the recent Irish Open competition –an unlikely incubator but almost perfect in a way.

Should the WSL snap up this opportunity and add them alongside the big wave and longboarding tours? A worthy addition I would say.
