An art competition designed to celebrate the surfboard and all its shapes and sizes. |
This event is designed to help out the SURFWORLD GOLD COAST MUSEUM and to celebrate the history of the surfing industry by showcasing board art.
To enter you must be involved in the surfing industry in some shape or form and all art is to be on a rideable, functional surfboard. Art can be Posca, Digital, Airbrush, Stencil and any other art form that doesn’t affect the performance and functionality of the board.
Also any new shapes, designs, processes, fins, would be welcome and it would be a great way to showcase gloss, tints etc… [As well as the art on the boards] If that’s the way you want to go.
FIRST PRIZE is $1500 worth of graphic art and printing from Rhemagraphics. There will also be other prizes as well.
All boards will be displayed at the SURFWORLD GOLD COAST MUSEUM opposite the Currumbin Bird Sanctuary in Queensland at 6:30 pm Friday 3rd September – so you have a over three weeks to get your art together.
If you’re interested in submitting a board like our own Tracks art director Brooklyn Whelan is doing then complete an entry form ASAP.
