Staying in the stratosphere after Kai Otton’s air show yesterday we’ve been gifted with a lofty punt by one Californian, Tanner Gudauskas. Shot by photographer, Ed Sloane, it reminds us that it isn’t always about The Pipeline.
“Big flyaway punts are the norm here this week with the winds being up and the swell on the way down,” says Sloane.
Just take in this image for a moment and appreciate the lofty heights Gudang has climbed. That is a straight up Bruce Irons air, big, straight grab and flanked by tropical Hawaiian vibes.
With still no sighting of current world number one Gabriel Medina on the North Shore we continue to wait with bated breath and wonder whether the Brazilian wunderkid will also take to the sky this Hawaiian winter.
