An Early Hawaiian Double Dose

It’s almost that time of year again. The tiresome and trouble causing Meo Rip Curl Pro has mercifully wrapped up, and we turn our attention towards the North Shore and the world title battle set to play out there. Carn Joycey!

And although the surf industry’s eye is only just beginning to focus on Hawaii, the local crew have enjoyed a run of particularly good early swells before the hordes descend.

Among them was Koa Rothman, who documented the swells and paged them up into some extremely well made and entertaining clips for his youtube channel.

This seems to be a model more and more surfers are adopting, becoming their own content creators, taking responsibility of their own channels and hopefully bringing in some of that sweet youtube money. Jamie O’Brien is another who has done the same thing.

Anyway, dive in and get pumped for Hawaii!
