Arctic Skateparks with Leon Glatzer

Finding ramps between snow-capped Norwegian peaks

The surf in Norway during winter is about as far removed from Leon Glatzer’s home of Costa Rica as you can get. Gone are the palm trees, replaced instead by frozen tundra. The bathwater warm ocean becomes an ice-cream headache inducing ice-bath and the dreamy tropical scenery is swapped for intimidating snow-capped mountains overlooking the lineup.  In saying that, that doesn’t mean there isn’t a bunch of fun to be found, as Leon showcases here.
