Beyond Supertubos with Conner Coffin

There’s more to Portugal than onshore closeouts and interference calls.

If all you knew of Portugal was what you saw on the WSL live feed, then you’d be forgiven for wondering why there’s a tour stop there at all. Supertubos is great when it’s perfect, but after many years we’re all painfully aware that to get this place on is rarer than rocking horse shit.

But that’s just Supertubos. Over on the other side of the coast it’s a whole different story. Instagram feeds from in and around the tour – minus the WSL’s of course – have been filled with offshore tubes and air sections offering unlimited loft. Check Jake Paterson's out – @snaketales

Here, Conner Coffin takes you on a tour of Lisbon’s sights, indulges in some of the quality surf on offer away from the contest venue, and gives insight into his time in the jersey.
