In the late 70s Burleigh Heads was the nucleus of Australian high performance surfing. It wasn’t uncommon to see MP, MR and Rabbit all out there battling for supremacy and bragging rights. Dick Hoole knew this and spent hours in the water there logging footage of these epic sessions on his heavy 16mm film rig.
