Frederico Morais had a stellar 2017 season. He had a huge performance at J-Bay, scalping John John and taking home a second place finish. He was neck and neck with Connor O'Leary, who clinched the Rookie of the Year honour at Pipeline. However, Morais still finished the season ranked 15 in the world, easily requalifying for the 2018 season. Now the WSL have profiled the rise and rise of Portugal's next big thing in their athlete profile series.
