Is Kelly Slater officially a Gold Coast Local?

Another Gold Coast clip that makes you feel bad about the waves you have been surfing.

We were so absorbed by the action at Bells that this little nugget slipped right under the radar. The clip features a few waves by sometimes Gold Coast local, Kelly Slater (He does own a place there). Kelly’s waves (particularly since his injury) are usually subject to more scrutiny than Donald Trump’s email account.  Does that foot of his look solid or is there still a hint of hesitation in his surfing? And what about that snub-nosed little board he is riding? Another promising experiment for the mad professor of fibreglass or just something to make those transitions easier while his hoof is still tender? As usual this Gold Coast clip does a good job of making you feel like you missed out and makes you wonder if you shouldn’t throw it all in, move to the Goldy for six months and ride for the Malcolm Turnbull surf team. Can’t help but contemplate the possibilities.
