If there were ever a case to hand somebody the trophy for an event before it’s even begun, this has to be it. Filmed during a few sessions around Italo’s home zone in Brazil, it’s quite honestly the most ferocious display of progressive small-wave fireworks we’ve seen since Dane in his prime.
It’s a clear shot over the bow for the rest of the tour as the Oi Rio Pro gets ready to commence, and you can bet this has a few competitors worried.
For those of us who don’t have to worry about beating Italo in a surfing competition, we can simply sit back and enjoy the phenomenal display.
