Marlon Harrison: Making it Happen

A 14-year-old kid from Oz, with an abundance of flair

Fourteen year-old Marlon Harrison is originally from Victoria, and if the prodigious 14-year-old continues to evolve his compelling blend of power and progression the southern state will probably want to reclaim him.

About four years ago Marlon followed the well-trodden path to the Gold Coast for those in search of surfing fame and glory. He’s since claimed a string of contest victories including the Bede Grom Shootout 2019, adding to his treble of Rip Curl Grom Search Australian National titles.

Marlon suggests he has been surfing since he was aged one and also comes from a talented surfing family. Mum and Dad both rip while his sister, Piper, is currently competing on the WQS and Junior series.

Australian surfing is much in need of talent to fly the flag on an international stage. The big leagues are a while off for Marlon, but his will be a career with tracking.
