Mason Ho’s Shark’s Cove Session

Time for a bit of North Shore novelty with Mason and Ben Gravy.

When it comes to novelty surf spots on the North Shore, surely the undisputed king has to be Mason Ho.

If you’ve spent any time at all watching his clips we’re sure you’ll understand why. The guy regularly takes the seemingly unsurfable and transforms it into a smile-inducing session.

Here Mason meets up with US-based novelty wave enthusiast, Ben Gravy, and the two of them head out to Shark’s Cove to take on an interesting wave that starts as a triple sucking ledge, before offering a Huntington Hop section, and finishing with a few fun lips on the rock riddled inside.

It may not be the most high-performance clip you’ll see out of Mason this winter, but it’ll bring a smile to your face, guaranteed.
