It still hasn’t sunk in that come round one of Margaret River we won’t see Mick Fanning pull on the jersey. No pre heat gymnastics, no silent contemplation on the shore and none of the high-speed precision surfing we all love him for.
To help ease the pain, Rip Curl has just dropped an edit of Mick’s last week on tour at Bells. It was a huge event for Mick, coming oh so close to icing his career with a fairy-tale win. But there was much more to it than that, as you’ll see.
As for the future, we eagerly await the first installment of Mick’s adventures on the search with Mason Ho … what a treat that will be!
