Before his injury late in 2015, Owen Wright was on a career best tear. The pinnacle of which was his victory at mammoth Cloudbreak in the Fiji Pro. It was one of the most dominant performances in heavy waves in history.

Now two years later Owen is back in Fiji, the first real test of his psyche since his injury. Sure Margaret’s was big, but it’s not the same as the violence big Cloudbreak can deliver. It’s also his first test over sharp coral.

Hear what he had to say about his return to the Pacific Islands as he enjoyed a warm-up at home.
