Parko and Mick’s Nth Coast Duel

When bold forces conspire to produce a little bit of magic.

There is the form of competition where two opponents call on all kinds of cunning and trickery to out-hustle one other. Such scenarios rarely result in good surfing. Then there is the type of competition where two surfers inspire each other towards sublime performances.

Mick and Parko have been best friends and rivals for more than two decades. A few of their finest moments have been in contest situations (remeber the 2011 Bells final, see below) but it's likely that some of the best sessions involving Mick and Joel feeding off each other's energy, have gone down with the singlets off. Fortunately this one was captured on film. Kick back and enjoy two of the world's finest exponents of rail surfing carve a north coast wedge to pieces.
