Wow. Shipstern Bluff really punches you square in the face when you haven’t seen it for a while. Lift the veil of desensitisation from over saturation and you realise the place is fucking crazy.
We’re now over a month into the Red Bull Cape Fear event window, which will be held at the wave. Although this swell was to brief, and perhaps too ugly, to get the green light, it’s still entertaining to watch these local madmen go at it.
I can not wait for this event to run. I’m calling one of the best surf spectacles of all time will go down, possibly even eclipsing the previous Cape Fear event held during the infamous East Coast low a couple years ago.
