Is it Queensland? Is it New South Wales? While it’s perhaps officially located inside the more southern state, D’bah has always been synonymous with Queensland surfing and the crew who rely on its wedgey teepees to get them through the hard times when the points go quiet. Sometimes the sand builds up in the southern corner, against the groyne, to produce a rifling right that is more akin to its pointbreak cousins around the corner. Off the Wall has plenty of heft and thus it facilitates some of the best power surfing on the Goldy; it also throws up thick barrels with plenty of whomp and huff. Not surprisingly many of the Coolangatta all-stars rate it as one of their favourite waves. Watch and see why.
