It’s been an awful summer for waves on much of Australia’s east coast. Shortboards have been gathering cobwebs, while fishes and logs have become the daily go-to.
However, that all changed last week when an unseasonal, and hefty south swell pounded the coastline for three days.
One spot that turned on was the always-entertaining Cape Solander in Sydney’s south, with Richie Vaculik, Jesse Polok and a cast of other regular fixtures at the wave made the most of the summer slabs.
