Everyone knows the Volcom Pipe houses. They’ve become bigger than mere accommodation; they are landmarks in the world of surfing and have almost become attached to the wave. The movements within their walls are the stuff of myth and legend.

But before Volcom set up shop in the two most sought after lodgings in the surfing world, they tore their way through a bunch of other houses, and the stories are just as good.
