These days Maroubra has a more gentrified vibe. Coffee shops flourish while business analysts and local football legends battle for waves alongside Uni students and actors. Indeed, when it turned on for six days straight over the last week The Bra played host to a cast of thousands. Some were calling it the best it’s been in years. Of course, The Lion’s share still went to a select crew of locals who could typically be found making their presence felt on the hollowest, dredgiest peak.
