Watch: Adrien Toyon Ride a Self-Shaped Sled at Firing Reunion Island

An exemplary piece of DIY.

With Covid-19 stifling our plans, a lot of us are either struggling to fill time at the moment or are simply spending a lot more time around the house. The perfect way to stay busy is to take on a DIY project, and if you can get your hands on a blank, and find a factory willing to finish the job, what better DIY project than mowing some foam and attempting to craft your own stick.

In this clip Reunion Island surfer, Adrien Toyon decides to get busy in the bay and shape his own board. He then travels home to Reunion to put it through its paces at St Leu.

“Coming back to the waves that I surf since I was a child is very special,” says Adrien. “This time, with my first shape, it was even more so.”
