Suddenly, all eyes are on Trestles, the rippable cobblestone a-frame in the heart of the O.C. California. A little over a week from now the world titles will be decided under the WSL’s novel, new surf-off format. After just one day of competition, we will have a women’s and men’s champion and we will really know if we love or hate the new finals format. In the interim, it’s worth checking out how a few other surfers interpret the perfectly paced, high-performance walls at Trestles. The commentary is definitely ‘All American’  but it’s interesting to see how the likes of Jack Robinson, Mick Fanning, Alex Ribeiro and local boy, Tanner Gudauskas put together a wave at Trestles.
