Watch: Friday the 13th at Teahupo’o with Nate Florence

Enter the fray during one of the heaviest days of surfing in a long time.

By now you’ve probably seen the footage and stills circulating on the interwebs of the very heavy day of surfing that took place on Friday the 13th at Teahupoo. And while very impressive and horrifyingly scary, what they lack is a real feel for what it’s like in the channel on a day like that.

Luckily for us, Nate Florence is not only a surfer with figs made of titanium, but he also delivers some of the finest youtube vlogs in surfing. So, when he made a beeline for this swell in Tahiti, he was always gonna come back with some gold. Not only from the lineup itself but also the events leading up to the session and from the channel. And here it is, so dive in.
