Watch: Josh & Seth Moniz Hit the Mentawai with a Two-by-Four

A couple of alternate Tokoro shapes put to the test in Indo.

The Moniz family possess more than their fair share of talent among their ranks. Dad Tony is a Hawaiian powerhouse and surfing icon, Daughter Kelia Moniz is as graceful as it gets on a log, and brothers Josh and Seth are all around shredders and among the best in the Pipe lineup.

In this clip, it’s the brothers who star. Taking to the tropical waters of the Mentawai Islands on a couple of very tasty alternative shapes from Tokoro. Seth on a Wing Swallow twin-Fin, and Josh on a Striker Quad-Fin.

It’s always nice to see surfers mixing up their equipment. It allows them the freedom of colouring outside the normal lines dictated by their traditional performance equipment.
