‘Yeah Dude’ is the story of a wild camper van adventure through California with a bunch of dirty surfer friends from Australia and the USA. Creed McTaggart and filmmaker Toby Cregan partner up to find the fun and document the trip. The film is their combined creative effort and is a mix of their love for beer, video cameras and surfing. Creed’s had his hands in plenty of video projects before, and Toby drops a new movie every time he takes a shit lately, but this marks their first collaboration in the editing bay.
They set out to bring a little rawness into the sometimes too safe surf movie game. “It’s going to be a movie about living in America. It’s about living good and bad, living high and low, living drunk and sober and surfing of course.” Creed explains. “There are a lot of personalities and there’s a lot of heart and soul going into it. It’s fluro, it’s in your face and it’s dirty and I think people are going to enjoy it because it’ll be something they’ve never seen before.”
Toby is confident about the quality of the collaboration “The one thing I’m sure is going to come out of it is it’s going to be really entertaining. Even if you’re not frothing on Creed’s air reverses and shitty surfing we’re still going to make a really good video.” The movie stars: Creed McTaggart, Andrew Doheny, Thom Pringle, Warren Smith, Duncan McNicol, Josh Sleep, Beau Foster, Metal Jimmy and Dillon Perillo.
