Even with the state of Hawaii putting down a blanket ban on all surf contests there is still a healthy contingent of the World’s best surfers hanging out on the North Shore, because what else is there to do during a Pandemic? A lot of those surfers have a whole lot of pent up competitive energy that needs to be released.
