A little while back Morocco enjoyed the kind of swell that happens once in a generation. Hawaiian Koa Smith, along with Billy Kemper and Luke Davis, made sure they were on hand to meet it.
The swell arrived and delivered everything it promised and more. The trio scored mindlessly perfect but very heavy waves at a well-known Moroccan pointbreak, and it was during the swell that Billy Kemper suffered the well-publicised injury that almost claimed his life.
